Cleaning your carpets with Optimum Carpet Cleaner & Protectant
Winter is finally over, and it is time to take out those dirty mats that you have and give them a nice clean. Especially in Canada, we have lots of dirt, salt stains and grimes built up over the winter months. People often ask which one is the best carpet cleaner and will take out the stains.. Today we are going to focus on the Optimum Carpet&Fabric Cleaner and Protectant. This product is kind of under the radar due to its own marketing, but once we tried it.. Oh boy it is an amazing product especially for the dilution ratio and the price.
Let's begin with a little bit about this product. Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant is a dual purpose cleaner and protectant for automotive carpet and fabric. It is the only product of its kind that deep cleans carpet and fabric while depositing a clear protective polymer that repels dust and dirt. This concentrated cleaner will keep your vehicle’s carpet and upholstery looking and feeling new. This feature is absolutely amazing because there are lots of strong cleaners out there, but not a lot of them will have the clean and protect feature. This will makes your fabric a lot harder to be stained and easier to keep it clean. Cleaning carpet is arguably one of the most tedious tasks in interior detailing. Most all carpet and fabric cleaners consist of high-octane chemicals that overwhelm your senses and cause you to cough and hack as you spray them. That’s not the case with Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant! This concentrated cleaner relies on smart chemistry rather than inexpensive cleaners that often do more harm than good. From what we can say, the smell is definitely on the milder side. It does not irritate your throat or eyes, which makes the cleaning process much much easier.
The dilution ratio is what makes this product affordable. For most applications, you can dilute it 1:3 with water. For the tougher jobs, like make up and protein stains, Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant can be used full strength. Wether if you get the 8 oz or 32 oz bottle, it will last you a while if you use it correctly. From what we've seen so far, usually the 1:3 dilution ratio is sufficient for most cases.
Let's dive into some examples!
As you can see, this is a dirty mat filled with dirt and grime!
Vacuuming should be the first step no matter how and what you are using to clean. This will ensure to clean off as much as the loose dirt on the mat, and giving it a much easier cleaning process.
This carpet is treated with the Optimum cleaner at full strength. No dilution!
You do want to agitate the surface with either a brush or a towel. We found using a soft brush will give you the best result!
There you guys go with the result! You can see what a difference it makes! Especially how easy the process was. No heat extraction, just spray it on and agitate it and wipe off. You can always do a second pass of the vacuum in the end to make sure every loose dirt is cleaned up. This product is simply amazing! Easy to use and also very price friendly as well.
